Living Archive
The Kesey Farm Living Archive is an evolving collection currently in active preservation and digitization. The Kesey Farm Project stewards the personal archives of Ken Kesey alongside materials from the many artists, writers, and collaborators who have passed through the Farm from the 1960s to today. Because the Farm remains an active site of creative production, the archive continues to grow.
This is not a static repository, but a living resource—one that is built carefully, over time, and in conversation with the public.
What’s happening now
Archival stabilization and rehousing
Cataloging and digital organization
Preparing select materials for public access
Planning soft online launch and an in-person public preview at the Farm (2026)
What the archive includes
Books and printed matter
Correspondence and manuscripts
Photographs and visual material
Artwork, ephemera, and objects connected to life and work at the Farm
Together, these materials document decades of experimentation, community, and cultural inquiry.
Looking ahead
In 2026, we’ll begin sharing select materials through a soft online release and host our first public preview on site. Public access will expand gradually as preservation and digitization continue.
Your contribution helps preserve, care for, and share this creative history.
